By Stefania Viscusi, Assignment Desk Editor

Welcome to the latest edition of TMCnet’s Enterprise Call Recording Week in Review – where you’ll find a brief rundown of all the top stories related to recording calls in the enterprise space from the past week.

This week, Star2Star announced three new StarBox Internet Communications Appliances which include new call recording capabilities.

StarBox 2250 is replacing the previous StarBox 2200. The StarBox 2250CR is able to store up to 2,500 hours of recorded calls and only uses 25 watts of power and the StarBox 5500CR, which can store up to 5,000 hours, only uses approximately 100 watts of power.

TalkTalk a provider of valuable home phone, broadband and mobile services for U.K. consumers also announced that it selected Nexidia (News - Alert) Advanced Interaction Analytics to provide quality, compliance and performance consistency for its internal call centers and outsourcer network.

PerformLine Technology also made headlines with the announcement that it helped increase higher education call center compliance

As universities make more and more use of call centers to recruit new students or discuss higher education opportunities with students, the need for call recording to ensure compliance with federal regulations and university policies is especially important.

PerformLine goes beyond just the typical “spot check” of recording random calls and records call audio for every interaction within the university contact center.
