SolarWinds (News - Alert) recently announced the launch of the industry-first SolarWinds VoIP Call Detail Record Tracker. The newly released free tool has been designed to enable improved management of voice over IP (VoIP) with Call Detail Record (CDR) tracking by IT professionals. Furthermore, the SolarWinds VoIP Call Detail Record Tracker is the only tool in the VoIP management market which allows search and displaying of CDRs.
SolarWinds decided to develop its latest offering based on its needs and discussions carried out by the SolarWinds community of over 100,000 IT pros on a VoIP CDR Tracker free tool. After taking into account the various ideas and requirements for the tool, the company developed a version featuring capabilities such as - search, retrieval, and viewing of CDRs; ability to carry loads of up to 48 hours of CDR data; and support for Cisco (News - Alert) CallManager CDR files.
In a release, Sanjay Castelino, VP, and market leader, SolarWinds said that, "With the increase in VoIP deployments over the last few years, IT pros have been clamoring for an easy-to-use tool that will aid in the analysis and troubleshooting of VoIP call quality. With SolarWinds VoIP CDR Tracker, IT pros can quickly and easily track and monitor VoIP call performance from the convenience of their desktops."
SolarWinds VoIP CDR Tracker provides IT pros with a desktop utility to easily track performance of VoIP calls via features such as searching, filtering, and categorizing of Cisco CallManager call detail records. Users can then view key details about the call such as its point of origin and destination, originating and destination of IP address as well as its date, time, status, cause of termination, and MOS. If a call is dropped, then the IT pros can use SolarWinds VoIP CDR Tracker to evaluate both the root cause and resolution for the issue.
To ensure the creation of a complete VoIP management solution, both SolarWinds VoIP & Network Quality Manager carefully assess the performance of single VoIP calls by evaluating call quality metrics available in the CDR files. Anytime the critical thresholds are exceeded, the user is provided with real-time alerts.
