StartMeeting has launched StartMeeting Studio, a free, cloud-based recording service that provides users with a platform to create and share audio/video presentations through e-mail, Facebook, YouTube (News - Alert) and other social media platforms.

Touted as an ideal service for sales presentations, webinars, human resource trainings and regular team meetings, and more, this latest offering allows users to record an audio/screen presentation when they are not hosting a conference call or an online meeting.

With StartMeeting Studio, presenters can record any content from their screen, including word documents, spreadsheets, PDF files, Powerpoint, websites, and proprietary applications with simultaneous narration.

Company officials said that once presentations are complete, they can be watched an unlimited amount of times, on-demand, and on a variety of platforms, including the iPad, iPhone (News - Alert) and Android phones.

StartMeeting offers audio and Web conferencing that synchronizes versatile real-time screen sharing and cloud-based meeting recording -- does not require large files to e-mail or save. The company is constantly listening to the needs of its customers and one consistent piece of feedback it has been getting is that today’s business leaders and other professionals need more flexibility in the fast-paced global economy, said Jeff Erickson, head of Project Development at StartMeeting.

It can be difficult to get every person on a conference call or to an online meeting, Erickson said, adding that now, the customers have a “free service that allows them to create a quality audio/visual presentation that they can make available anytime, anywhere on numerous platforms.”

StartMeeting Studio is a service of FreeConferenceCall.com. Company officials said that while some online meeting services allow users to record meetings, and other services allow users to record presentations for distribution. StartMeeting, however, is the first service to offer both.
