Panduit Acquires Unite Technologies to Expand Line of Enterprise Solutions

In order to expand its portfolio of enterprise solutions, Panduit Corp., best known for its Unified Physical Infrastructure (UPI)-based solutions, has acquired Unite Technologies Ltd. Panduit’s enterprise solutions connect, manage and automate the physical infrastructure to help customers integrate core business systems for a smarter, unified business foundation.
Recognized as one of the UK’s leading IT Systems Manufacturers, Unite Technologies specializes in energy management, power, security and environmental monitoring solutions for the enterprise and data center, which will help to build on Panduit’s already impressive line of enterprise solutions.
Unite Technologies’ expertise complement’s Panduit innovation in the infrastructure management space and expands Panduit UPI-based solutions for the enterprise and the data center environment. The acquisition will bring an end-to-end physical to logical view and unmatched management of the physical infrastructure to Panduit and Unite Technologies’ customers.
Under the terms of the acquisition, Panduit’s Physical Infrastructure Manager software platform and PanView iQ will be coupled with the Unite Technologies 6 Zone Data Center and Energy Management offering to provide a more complete offering to address the growing demand for infrastructure solutions necessary in the market today.
According to the company, together these unified enterprise solutions will ensure that a clients’ physical infrastructure remains in alignment with organizational objectives by monitoring and analyzing data, empowering clients to make informed business decisions aligned to best practices, policies and procedures. The solution helps to define mission-critical business services, and maps IT like servers, switches and software applications to facilities such as power, cooling, and cabling.

Combined with the Unite Technologies 6 Zone Data Center and Energy Management offering, Panduit solutions provide centralized tracking of IT infrastructure assets on a single platform, power consumption, energy management, and reporting and proactive capacity trend analysis and insights into capacity limitations and stranded capacity. The solution will also offer access control, security, and environmental monitoring as well as visibility into under-utilized assets, resources, and unauthorized patch field changes. Additionally, customers can expect root cause analysis of physical network problems and Interoperability and integration with leading network, storage and power systems.
