Actuate Debuts Xenos Repository for Virtual Document Storage, Delivery

Recently, Actuate (News - Alert) Corporation, the BIRT Company, unveiled Xenos Repository. This is designed specifically for use in the financial services, insurance and telecommunications industries and is a document indexing, storage and multichannel delivery system for high-volume customer statements, electronic documents and scanned images.

Xenos provides a completely combined output management framework including Actuate BIRT for statement design, Xenos Enterprise Server for high-performance processing and systems management, Xenos Transformation for content agility, and Xenos Repository for storage and multichannel delivery.

The system lets companies take advantage of their information assets allowing internal and external consumers to analyze, aggregate, enhance and interact with content contained within the Xenos Repository, creating a true System of Engagement for organizations and individual customers.

It provides Advanced Metadata extraction and augmentation capabilities to optimize search and improve discovery and governance abilities. Along with an Abstracted storage layer to utilize many tiers of storage from fast local storage to slower long term storage, it also offers document storage reduction to minimize the storage requirements and reduce the total cost of ownership.

The company recently partnered with VoltDB, a provider of ultra-high-throughput relational database systems (RDBMS), to allow VoltDB and ActuateOne customers to rapidly and effectively process their Big Data and operationalize the resulting insights. VoltDB is a NewSQL database system, designed for organizations that have reached the price/performance limitations of SQL databases.
