Centina Systems, a global provider of service assurance and service quality management solutions for communications service providers, announced the selection of its NetOmnia suite of solutions by South Dakota’s largest telecommunication company, Golden West Telecommunications.

NetOmnia Operations Assurance has been developed as a carrier-class, next-generation fault management solution, and improves network visibility and dramatically reduces the ongoing administration and maintenance.

Deployed rapidly, NetOmnia Performance Assurance provides real-time, historical and projected network performance analysis and visualization of the end-to-end performance of any type of network or cloud infrastructure, including key performance indicators (KPI) and their impact on the business and SLAs.

“NetOmnia offers a complete solution for gaining deep, end-to-end visibility into network operations that dramatically improves the customer experience and network performance while reducing ongoing operations costs,” said cofounder and CEO at Centina Systems, Anand Gonuguntla.

Using NetOmnia Operations Assurance, Service Assurance and Performance Assurance products, Golden West will be able to gain real-time, comprehensive visualization of customer broadband service performance for its ISP business, and monitor its wireline network. These will enable the company’s technical teams to quickly assess and solve cross-platform problems in a more efficient manner, reducing its mean time to repair (MTTR).

This is expected to yield better and more efficient customer service for Golden West’s subscribers.

“NetOmnia is unique in its approach to aggregation and correlation of alarms in a heterogeneous service provider network,” said Nick Rogness, director of engineering and operations at Golden West. “The key differentiator in the selection of NetOmnia was the ability to apply business workflow rules to network events. This enables our organization to align network management practices with business goals.”

Last month, Centina Systems won a Bronze Stevie Award for Best New Software in the 9th Annual International Business Awards.

The Stevie Award was presented for Centina Systems' NetOmnia Cable Assurance solution.
