TMCnet Enterprise Solutions Week in Review

This week has all been about partnerships, expansions and the release of more flexible and scalable solutions for enterprises. Seagate (News - Alert) released three new hard drives, TRADESHOFT and PrimeRevenue teamed up to provide more efficient services to customers, arbor Networks unveiled its new network security solution, SAP (News - Alert) and Digital Route announced a reseller agreement and Verizon Wireless expands its 4G LTE network to eastern shore communities.
In a bid to target the emerging cloud infrastructures and traditional data centers, and likely compete with Western Digital (News - Alert), Seagate has introduced the Enterprise Value, the Enterprise Capacity and the Enterprise Performance family of HDDs. These are low-cost storage mediums ideal for SMBs looking to maximize on their storage investments. According to the report by Daniel Brecht, these HDDs come with built-in security that protect data at rest and also protect classified information.
The strategic partnership between TRADESHIFT and PrimeRevenue is expected to provide a host of benefits to PrimeRevenue's customers. The company's OpenSCI speeds up cash flow and reduces cost while optimizing working capital. TRADESHIFT's platform, on the other hand, offers a scalable, secure and an easy to use resource with a host of efficiency-driving business services like e-invoicing and automated document validation.
According to the CEO of TRADESHIFT, Christian Lanng, "TRADESHIFT partnering with PrimeRevenue improves the business case for all customers to adopt both supply chain finance and e-invoicing. Both are vital services, but bundling them will help trading partners obtain the most value."
Arbor Networks unveiled its new Pravail Network Security Intelligence which uses advanced Analytics to identify security gaps on firewalls and intrusion prevention systems. The platform delivers actionable security intelligence which is critical for identifying and stopping attacks. The new Pravail NSI (News - Alert) addresses present day challenges and extends the capabilities by eliminating the damage to the bottom line and brand integrity that come from an undetected advanced or insider threat.
Pravail NSI is able to identify and address corporate resources and servers misuse, detect and defend against advanced threats and monitor critical services and systems, giving alerts of suspicious activities.
The partnership between SAP and DigitalRoute will help address the evolving customer demands through flexible configuration options to adapt to new requirements. According to the CEO of DigitalRoute, Jan Karlsson, "The increasing online commerce has resulted in an explosion of data. The combination of SAP Convergent Mediation and SAP Convergent Charging delivers an end-to-end solution that will empower customers in the service industries to achieve real competitive advantages."
Meanwhile, Verizon Wireless continues to expand its blazingly fast speeds and capabilities as it continues its dominance as the largest American 4G LTE (News - Alert). This expansion is just one of 40 occurring this week. 4G LTE speeds offer an average rate of five to twelve Mbps. When customers are not in range, devices automatically connect to the 3G network.
