ESI Celebrates 25 Years in the Industry

Recently, the company celebrated 25 years of business communications solutions, innovation and leadership. According to the company, it is now an innovative leader in the high-performance telephony industry.

Starting the business as an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of voicemail systems in a garage, the company has grown into to a full-fledged, channel-based business communications solution provider.  The company works with more than 600 resellers across North America. Before this, ESI (News - Alert) designed and built its own hardware and software, instead of producing its products on others’ platforms.

“Advanced technology, ease-of-use and installation, a loyal and growing channel, and a progressive customer-centric vision have defined the ESI difference over the past 25 years and will continue to do so going forward,” said Doug Boyd, CEO of ESI, who has been with the company since 1994, when he was hired as vice president and chief operating officer. “As a technology-driven company outside Silicon Valley, we have gone the extra mile to implement innovative, productivity-enhancing features and functions into our phone systems.”

Recently, the company appointed Ron Owens as VP of Cloud Solutions. With this, the company has entered into the hosted or cloud solutions market.
