Thotz.co Offers Innovative Web Application to Simplify Cloud Services
By Rajani Baburajan
With the ever-growing popularity of cloud services, enterprises are now looking for solutions that simplify the deployment and management of these services.
Gartner (News - Alert) recently predicted that the public cloud services market will grow 19.6 percent in 2012 to total $109 billion worldwide.
To address the demands from a growing customer base, Thotz.co announced the availability of its Web application that simplifies the use of cloud-stored content.
Thotz, a Bogotá, Colombia-based company, is dedicated to creating tools to get the right information and content into people’s hands, everywhere, according to company officials.
The new cloud management service provides a single interface to access several cloud-storage and communication services.
Additionally, the application allows users to upload files to any of those services, bookmark websites and send attachments from Gmail to storage services like Google (News - Alert) Drive.
The increased use of mobility and continuous connectivity has created more opportunities for customers to use cloud. Thotz is set to address this market requirement by offering a tool that masks the complexity of cloud services, while allowing users to take full advantage of them.
“Nowadays a person is forced to jump from one cloud-service to the next in order to access all of their content on a specific subject. Retrieving files from Google Drive, e-mails from Gmail or Outlook, and pictures from Flickr or Instagram – all require logging in and searching each one separately,” said Carlos Rozo, CEO of Thotz, in a statement. “Thotz.co and its Chrome Plugin allow users to access and search all of their content via a single interface, on any device.”
The first release of the Web application is aimed at Gmail, Google Drive, Box and Google Apps users, with future releases to add services like Dropbox (News - Alert), Skydrive and several e-mail services, the company said.
“All you need is a device with internet connectivity and Thotz to have all your cloud-based content in a single window - content that otherwise would have been dispersed across many services,” said Rozo.
