SuperMicro Debuts SuperServer/SuperWorkstation Product Line Featuring Hyper-Speed Technology

Advanced trading firms seeking to reduce latency and maximize transaction flow can now benefit from using Super Micro Computer, Inc.’s new line of ultra high performance "Hyper-Speed" servers ideal for high frequency trading (HFT) and low-latency applications.

Specialized in high-efficiency server technology, Super Micro Computer is a provider of advanced server Building Block Solutions for data center, cloud computing, enterprise IT, Hadoop/big data and embedded systems.

The latest "Hyper-Speed" servers introduced by the company currently include: superserver 6027ax-trf, superserver 6027ax-72rf, superWorkstation 7047ax-trf and superWorkstation 7047ax-72rf.

According to SuperMicro, these new HFT-optimized server solutions are available in 2U and 4U/tower platforms and offer unparalleled performance for HFT applications by maximizing processing power and precisely tuning hardware and firmware to attain up to 30 percent lower latency over competitive solutions.

Featuring optimized air-cooling with customized heat sinks, the new product line features Hyper-Speed technology, which combines enterprise-class over clocking, hardware and firmware optimizations, while still maintaining mission critical reliability.

Built on Supermicro's X9DAX series dual-processor (DP) motherboards and SC829BTQ chassis, the new Hyper-Speed systems allow the highest performance Intel (News - Alert) Xeon E5-2600 series processors (up to 150W TDP) to be tuned for even higher performance and run at peak performance in a dense 2U form factor for colocation installations.

Some of the other performance tuning features delivered by the new product line include adjustable onboard frequencies, voltages and memory latencies as well as firmware optimizations.
