By Raju Shanbhag
Enterprise Information Management (News - Alert) (EIM) helps users get the optimum benefits of the data they have. Users can intelligently use the large volumes of information they have in their day to day operations and even important decision making processes. EIM looks to cross the conventional barriers faced by users in the management of information.
Recently, OpenText announced that two of its secure enterprise information management applications, OpenText Tempo Box (News - Alert) and OpenText eDOCS DM, can be bought in the Windows store.
Both of these products support Windows 8. For example, OpenText eDOCS DM app provides anytime, anywhere access to Windows 8 and supports various Windows 8 features such as touch interactions. OpenText Tempo Box and eDOCS DM products also support other Windows 8 features such as cloud-connected access, the company has stated.
With the help of OpenText Enterprise Information Management (EIM) technologies, users can make use of enterprise information to get valuable business insights and make the most of the resources they have. OpenText has products for a whole range of core EIM features.
“Our Tempo Box product and our eDOCS DM app will empower our business users to quickly take full advantage of all the innovative mobility features that Microsoft (News - Alert) offers in these new operating systems," said Muhi Majzoub, SVP of Engineering at OpenText. "These innovations demonstrate OpenText's continued commitment to bringing leading-edge EIM solutions to customers and represent key parts of OpenText's Enterprise Information Management (EIM) strategy, helping organizations to work more efficiently and drive better business outcomes.”
Recently, the company helped Autonomy (News - Alert) customers to safeguard their software investments by allowing them to do business in valid Autonomy licenses for OpenText licenses. According to the company, this facility helps the Autonomy customers tackle the uncertainty of the future. The customers will not have to spend anything extra to get this facility.
