The use of remote lab technologies has been growing in the past few years, allowing users to remotely conduct real experiments with the help of telecommunications technology.
The technology is becoming popular among lab professionals as it eliminates time constraints, improves experiment quality and reduces the cost of experiments.
Allowing customers to perform lab management remotely, QualiSystems (News - Alert) is combining its TestShell enterprise software framework with FiberZone's Automated Fiber Management (AFM) Layer 1 Switch.
QualiSystems' TestShell allows lab engineers to improve the performance of labs. They will also have the ability to enhance the coverage of testing. They can also put their equipments to better use as they will now have the ability to work remotely.
FiberZone's AFM switches provide support for both multimode and single mode fibers.
According to the company, this new combination of TestShell and Layer 1 Switch improves speed and scalability of lab experiments.
TestShell from QualiSystems help companies by providing facilities such as lab inventory management, peripheral device control, state-of-the-art test intelligence, and easy creation of topologies.
The product is ideal for data centers and telecom service providers.
“The strengths of QualiSystems' TestShell combined with FiberZone's Layer-1 switch will convert lab management into a cloud environment for network and storage testing" said Eitan Lavie, vice president of Product & Marketing at QualiSystems. "FiberZone is a trusted supplier of remote fiber connectivity solutions and this pairing brings additional benefits and capabilities to customers for setting up test environments in a cloud type self-servicing manner.”
Recently, the company unveiled another product that made it easier for the users to migrate to the company’s TestShell enterprise software framework. This announcement comes at a time when Gale Technologies (News - Alert) declared the end of its Lab Manager platform.
