Axxcelera Chooses Ercom MOBIPASS as eNodeB LTE Test Platform
By Carolyn J Dawson
Axxcelera Broadband (News - Alert) Wireless has chosen the MOBIPASS portfolio of LTE eNodeB test products from ERCOM. Axxcelera thoroughly assessed all available LTE functional and load testing solutions in the market before finalizing Ercom MOBIPASS as its eNodeB LTE (News - Alert) test platform.
In a statement, Jamal Hamdani, CEO at Axxcelera said, “We were very impressed by the speed with which Ercom connected MOBIPASS to our eNodeB and did the first call. We could see the quality of their product as well as their skilled technical support. Now we are using it every day in different test configurations.”
The user-friendly MOBIPASS offering from Ercom boasts best-in-class performance. Capable of having sub-layers, the service offers a complete stack functionality and load testing with the same equipment. It is also possible to execute TDD and FDD on the same equipment using MOBIPASS.
The solution can generate intricate test settings in a very simplified manner. Ercom offers technical assistance locally just as well.
Mario Genest, general manager at ERCOM (News - Alert), said, “We met Mr. Hamdani, CEO of Axxcelera, in MWC 2012 and managed to find agreement with him in a very short period of time because we were the only solution on the market fitting their exacting requirements.”
Field conditions and user behavior can be recreated in the Lab itself using the Multi-UEs emulator, MOBIPASS. The eNodeB and other network elements can be authenticated using MOBIPASS as well.
The Mobipass portfolio comprises three solutions: MOB510 for ePC emulation, MOB550 for Multi-UEs emulation, and MOB560 for total wrap-around testing for UE, S1, X2 interfaces. Mobipass solutions also incorporate extremely sophisticated features, like MUCE, a true Multi-UEs Channel Emulator; immense usability; potential of developing intricate test scenarios in a simplified manner; high performance decoding; and numerous analysis tools.
A landmark for wireless infrastructure, Axxcelera is creating best-in-class technology for the implementation of broadband wireless communications. The firm covers all service markets, from a number of small island sites to total coverage of a specified area.
