SAP (News
- Alert) has announced the globalization of its SAP Mobility Design Center, addressing the rising demand for custom mobile applications that provide consumer-grade experiences. SAP originated from the SAP campus located in Palo Alto (News - Alert), California.
Operations at the SAP Mobility Design Center are scheduled to expand to corporate headquarters located in Walldorf, Germany. Included in the expansion will also be company offices in St.Ingbert, Germany; Bangalore, India; and Montreal, Canada, to more effectively leverage SAP talent across the world.
The SAP Mobility Design Center has helped customers such as ExxonMobil to keep up with consumerization of Information Technology Trends, ever since its launch in September 2012. SAP allows customers to better engage with their employees and connect with consumers by conceptualizing, designing and building mobile solutions.
Mobile solutions are made using design-based principles from the end-user’s perspective, from the start of the process and also at the end for testing.
Oftentimes companies lack the budget, time or infrastructure to build mobile solutions that meet special business requirements. Customers throughout the world can now engage with SAP to address those unique challenges from the expansion of the SAP Mobility Design Center.
Companies can now get to market more quickly with various competitive solutions that engage and bring increased value to their end users and consumers, by using a proven, highly iterative development and collaborative design process.
"Companies want to increase workforce productivity by enabling them to make fast decisions at the point of action and bring value to their consumers by offering a delightful and engaging user experience," said Sanjay Poonen, president, Mobile Division at SAP, according to Sacbee.
As a top player in enterprise mobility, he added, the SAP Mobility Design Center fulfills a growing demand for custom-built mobile solutions, and offers a smart and easy way for consumers to unwire their business.
