With Oracle Certification, Advant-e Corporation Perceives A Larger Presence In On-Demand EDI Solutions

Advant-e is a provider of internet-based Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) and electronic document management software and services. Standardization of products is essential for customer satisfaction. And Oracle's (News - Alert) Integration Validation Program is aimed at just that. Through its Integration Validation Program, Oracle certifies select applications in order to provide its customers with standards-based product integrations tested and validated by Oracle.

Merkur Group is a well known provider of PeopleSoft-integrated fax and e-mail solution.

The solution allows customers to seamlessly send and receive documents from within PeopleSoft.  Edict system's Internet-based EDI solutions on the other hand enable companies to connect, integrate, manage, validate, and expand supply chain trading communities. 

Merkur's PeopleSoft connector provides secure delivery of PeopleSoft Purchase Order data to Edict's EnterpriseEC service for translation into EDI data and delivery via AS2, Secure FTP, or via traditional Value Added Networks.  The connector also provides visibility of delivered transactions within PeopleSoft and insertion of received transactions, such as Purchase Order Acknowledgements and Invoices, into PeopleSoft via the PeopleSoft Integration Broker.

After obtaining certification from Oracle, the PeopleSoft customers will rest assured of an improved product. Both Oracle and PeopleSoft customers will enjoy an improved risk management and smoother upgrade capability, leading to lower cost of ownership and greater overall satisfaction.

The jointly developed services and solutions from Advant-e, Edict and Merkur help improve business practices by reducing paper-based transactions and the number of errors associated with manual document processing. This goes to significantly increase the number of suppliers who can conduct business electronically.  It also allows companies to focus on their core business and high priority IT projects by reducing the internal resources needed to successfully maximize the value of a fully connected and integrated supply chain. An Oracle certification only adds to the credibility of the entire range of solution.
