As more and more incidents of fraud are reported, the necessity of protecting identity in all facets is now more prevalent and necessary than ever. In doing so, a person's personal information, passwords and files need to be secure, especially on computers, a major place for fraud and hacker attacks.
Priding itself as "the world's most secure flash drive," IronKey has reportedly raised an addition $22 million in funding from Bridgescale Partners with existing investors Mohr Davidow Ventures and Crosslink Capital participating in the round, for a total of over $30 million, solidifying additional years of success and secure products for the future.
According to reports, the new financing will be used to accelerate adoption of IronKey's Trusted Access platform; a data protection system for enterprises and government agencies.
Recently, the company released a new version of its flash drive for secure online banking, allowing consumers to lock down sensitive files and passwords and includes hardware encryption for safeguarding data and advanced Internet protection software and services for securing passwords and Web browsing.
