Acquia Appoints 2 New Board Members

Acquia, a provider of commercial solutions for Drupal, has announced the appointment of industry veterans Thomas Bogan and Paul Sallaberry to its Board of Directors.
The Company noted that the new independent Board members bring to Acquia expertise in building global, enterprise companies and successfully scaling disruptive technology development into existing and new markets. They will help Acquia leverage open source Drupal to change the way enterprise businesses and governments leverage web content management and the Cloud to create web and mobile experiences of the future.
"Paul Sallaberry and Tom Brogan are tremendous additions to Acquia's leadership team and have extensive experience with high growth private and public companies," said Tom Erickson, Acquia's CEO. "Paul brings a strong track record of scaling sales teams and Tom has a proven history of growing start-ups into large, profitable companies. Their collective experience will be instrumental in fueling our growth and solidifying our position as the leader in content management and social software across all platforms."
In a release, Acquia reported background information on Bogan and Sallaberry:
Tom Bogan is the Chairperson of Board of Directors of Citrix and a private investor. From 1997 to 2003, Bogan served in a variety of positions with Rational Software Corp., an S&P 500 software company acquired by IBM Corp. in 2003, including President and COO from 2000 to 2003 and Senior VP and COO from 1999 to 2000. Bogan is a seasoned executive focused on enterprise software and will bring significant strategic insight as well as operational and corporate governance expertise to Acquia.
Paul Sallaberry has served as a venture investor and senior executive in technology companies for nearly 30 years. His sales and operational experience will be valuable as Acquia continues its rapid expansion in various vertical and international markets. Sallaberry was Executive VP, Worldwide Field Operations at Veritas Software, which was acquired by Symantec. Sallaberry also held senior positions at OpenVision Technologies and Oracle.
