How long have you attended I started attending when I was born, and became a member when I was 15 or 16 years old.
What is the importance of faith in your life It is something I have grown up with; it was instilled in me by my parents. I made the decision as a small child to be forgiven for my sins -- what I had at that time -- and never got away from that decision. I have never given up my faith in God -- his hand upon my life has led me. When I look back I can see decisions I made, some poor, and God worked them out for good in my life.
How do you live out your faith It comes as natural as breathing to me. I have been diagnosed with emphysema, so breathing sometimes is hard -- sometimes my faith is hard. It dictates the way I think, the way I act, the way I raised my children. God gave me a little bit of talent and I try to use it in the church.
Faith in Action appears Saturdays. It features a member of a church, temple or mosque and the importance of their faith. To suggest someone to be featured, contact Faith & Family coordinator Larry Badger at 749-4776 or lbadger@ appealdemocrat.com.
