MTS, the mobile telephony services brand of Sistema Shyam (News - Alert) TeleServices Limited (SSTL), has announced the launch of a range of Internet- enabled smartphones for trendy and technology oriented mobile subscribers, especially the  new generation of college students and young professionals in Jaipur, the state capital of India’s north western state of Rajasthan.

According to company officials the range of Buzz, Alive & Ivory lifestyle phones, which are enabled with state-of-the-art futuristic CDMA2000 technology platform, support high quality voice and net enabled data services with best of tariff plans.

The phones provide direct access to as much as 15 social networking sites including Facebook, Twitter, Windows Live Messenger, Yahoo and Google (News - Alert) search to its subscribers.

In addition, the devices offer fast Internet connectivity with speeds up to 3.1 Mbps in ideal conditions.

MTS (News - Alert) so far has been offering similar speeds on the data cards and with the launch of these smart phones, MTS now has extend the high speed mobile broadband connectivity to the smart phones also.  

MTS will provide 20 GB free for first two months for every subscriber of these devices, as an inaugural offer.

 “MTS smart phones will be the first  of  few devices  which will  offer  voice and data  packaged together at affordable  tariffs to cater to the needs of the  young and the upwardly mobile Indian professionals”, said Sandeep Yadav, chief operating officer, Rajasthan Circle, SSTL, while addressing a press conference.

Yadav said that the company is certain  that the inaugural offer of 20GB  free download, with the MTS smart phones,  will help the subscribers get on to an entirely new digitally connected world,  enriching   their mobile telephony experience.

MTS will be offering all its smart phone consumers, limited and unlimited tariff plans keeping in the mind the usage patterns of subscribers from low, medium to heavy.
