Antcor (News - Alert), a provider of software solutions for the Broadband Wireless Access (BWA) market, announced a partnership with Zylog Systems India dedicated to rolling out Wi5 Broadband fixed wireless data services across India.

Antcor will enable Wi5 Broadband equipment with customized software. The Antcor solutions are expected to offer reliable solutions for the wireless network. Zylog Systems India offers Wi5 Broadband services in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Punjab and Gujarat before launching in other parts of India.

“Our relationship with Antcor will help us move ahead with our expansion plan with confidence,” said Venkatesh S, chief operating officer, Wi5. “A successful pilot deployment has been completed in the city of Madurai, while an aggressive rollout plan of over 100 cities will follow.”

Wi5 Broadband is an initiative of Zylog Systems India, a category A ISP and subsidiary of Zylog Systems. Zylog Systems is an IT solutions group offering onshore, offshore and near shore technology solutions and services to enterprises and technology companies.

“We are excited to partner with Zylog on this promising project and take active part in their vision to revolutionize broadband connectivity in India,” said Costas Meimetis, CEO, Antcor, in a statement.

“Our WIFI software technology has been deployed in hundreds of networks around the globe with exceptional results and we are extremely happy that we now have the opportunity to assist in reducing the digital divide in one of the fastest growing economies in the World,” Meimetis added.

In November 2010, Antcor announced the launch of the LteSystem to its LteSuite product line. The new product line is expected to serve as a major advancement in its plan to expand the LteSuite simulation platform for the 3GPP Long Term Evolution protocol.
