Aruba Networks (News - Alert), a provider of distributed enterprise networks, has announced the ArubaEdge Partner Program, saying that it will foster, certify, and promote end-to-end mobility solutions from an ecosystem of technology partners leveraging the Aruba Mobile Virtual Enterprise (MOVE) architecture.

Comprised of top-tier suppliers, the ecosystem shares a forward-looking vision of secure mobility. In addition, it also shares a commitment to customer service and a focus on device interoperability.

The company’s new ArubaEdge program helps businesses successfully navigate the interoperable solution landscape, according to Peter Cellarius (News - Alert), vice president of business development and partnerships at Aruba Networks.

“We have a new dedicated Partner Engineering Lab, and are able to work directly with many more technology partners,” Cellarius said, adding that this in turn allows customers to select the best vendors that address their specific solution and application needs.

In order to reliably interoperate with Aruba’s secure mobility infrastructure, ArubaEdge Certified Partners’ products are tested and validated, said company officials. Using a standardized certification process, the certified partners quickly and rigorously check device performance results against a reference standard to ensure interoperability.

Aruba officials said that interoperable configurations are documented and supported by both Aruba’s and the partners’ support organizations. Moreover, ArubaEdge Solution Partners engage in a more detailed interoperability validation process, one outcome of which is a best practices design and deployment guide for that solution.

Additionally, Aruba and its solution partners establish joint support “hotlines,” ensuring high-quality end-user support. Plus, ArubaEdge Solution Partners are automatically eligible to join the ArubaEdge Briefing Program.

Some ArubaEdge Program partners include: Ascom, Avaya, Microsoft, Polycom, RedSky, Research in Motion (RIM), Avenda (News - Alert) Systems, Bradford Networks, Impulse, InfoExpress, Dell, Citrix, Honeywell, Intermec, Motion Computing, and Psion.

Last month, Aruba unveiled the Aruba AirMesh outdoor wireless solutions portfolio.
