BoxTone, a provider of automated Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) platform, announced it was included in Gartner's (News - Alert) Critical Capabilities for Mobile Device Management Report.
To prepare the Mobile Device Management Report, research firm Gartner reviewed a set of enterprise Mobile Device Management (MDM) offerings across a series of critical capabilities and use cases and provided quantitative product ratings.
“We believe BoxTone's (News - Alert) overall score in the Gartner Critical Capabilities for MDM report confirms our long-term approach to mobility management,” said Brian Reed, vice president of products and CMO for BoxTone, in a statement. “The accelerated growth of mobility in the enterprise is mandating a change in how customers and vendors approach mobility management.”
Before entering MDM product selection analysis, organizations should identify risks and benefits of introducing support for corporate applications on personal devices. They should identify IT policies to control deployments, manage risks and support users. They should select appropriate management approach, according to Gartner’s report.
Many customers of BoxTone use mobility in regulated industries and mission critical environments. The company's EMM platform provides a single point of control to deliver better mobile performance and security.
Forty of the Fortune 100 companies, four of the five largest U.S. banks, five of the top six U.S. federal agencies and all of the major managed service providers (MSPs) are BoxTone customers, the company claims. These customers provide mobile device, support and operations management across more than 900,000 mobile users, devices, and applications.
Recently, Apperian (News - Alert), a provider of mobile application management, joined hands with BoxTone to offer enterprises a solution for full lifecycle enterprise-grade mobile device management. BoxTone's EMM solution gives companies a unified mobile management platform that provides a single point of control.
