To help consumers keep mobile phone bills under control this holiday season, Anomalous Networks, Inc., an innovator and supplier of Real-Time Telecom Expense Management solutions, has introduced its free real-time mobile expense management tool Telicost-Lite.

Also, the company has announced its holiday promotion, which will allow users to tell-a-friend about Telicost and earn an entry into a giveaway for a free Apple (News - Alert) iPad 2.

This holiday season, over 90 million people in America alone will travel to spend time with family and friends, relying completely on mobile devices for communication.

The latest smartphones support countless applications, games and online surfing, which consume high amounts of data, tipping cell phone bills over plan limits.

Officials said that a recent resurgence in mobile bill shock is due in part to roaming overages and an increase in data consumption from new smartphone apps. Estimates report that more than 30 million Americans each year are overcharged for cell phone usage and Anomalous Networks does not want mobile users to be caught in this trap.

The company, to encourage mindful mobile usage, is giving away a free Apple iPad 2 to the Telicost-Lite user who best encourages others to use its products.

Users, by referring friends, can win an iPad 2 for free while sharing a solution that truly works.

In a release, Anomalous Networks CEO Daniel Rudich, said: “We want our Telicost-Lite users to give their friends the gift of managed mobile usage this holiday.” “Bill Shock is hitting the masses and Telicost-Lite is a simple, free solution that immediately benefits its users. Preventing bill shock is as easy as checking your usage icon.”

In related news, Avotus (News - Alert) Corporation announced that it has inked a partnership agreement with Anomalous Networks.
