BilltoMobile, well known for its direct carrier billing for mobile payments, has made it easier for consumers to make purchases through the Web and for developers to accelerate their revenues with its one-click processing functionality.
With Web transactions increasingly becoming a focus point for developers, BilltoMobile has introduced one-click processing for Mobile Web on a major carrier with MocoSpace, a social entertainment community on the Web.
"Direct billing is key to our virtual currency-based mobile social gaming community, and with BilltoMobile we've been able to provide a seamless payment experience," said Jamie Hall, MocoSpace co-founder and chief technology officer, in a press release.
Excited to be introducing this elegant new functionality on a major carrier with MocoSpace, Paris Leung, vice president of sales at BilltoMobile says he expects to introduce the one-click process on all the top four carriers in the near future.
According to company officials, BilltoMobile's proprietary risk and fraud system ensures that the transactions are conducted in a secure environment.
BilltoMobile has already launched its proprietary mobile payments service on behalf of Verizon Wireless, AT&T (News - Alert), Sprint and T-Mobile and also acts as a gateway for Verizon and Sprint.
Claiming to be the first direct billing platform in the U.S. that offers one-click mobile web processing, Leung said, "Offering such a simple and easy payment flow for consumers translates directly to higher revenue. We have seen this proven out in other geographic areas of the world.”
In related news, BilltoMobile has recently formed a direct mobile billing gateway service provider agreement with Sprint (News - Alert), which will allow Sprint customers to charge online purchases directly to their Sprint bill. Once implementation is complete in the coming months, merchants and payment resellers using BilltoMobile's mobile payment service will be able to offer this payment option to all of Sprint’s customers.
