A romantic road trip has its own unique appeal and American travelers are particularly fond of it. With this in mind, Yahoo Travel released the 10 great all-American road trips that will give the travel-enthusiasts an opportunity to explore roads less traveled.

The new trips cover some of the continent’s finest landscapes and absolute must-see for the travelers, seeking to discover the beauty of North America, Yahoo said in a press release.

One of the trips is through Alaska’s Seward Highway. This 127-mile, easily navigable, sea-and-mountain-skirting highway lets the travelers make their ways through wild Alaska. At the cross section of America's largely untamed Last Frontier, this rout makes a fantastic jumping-off point for wilderness adventure.

The second trip is suggested along Arizona’s Dine' Tah Scenic Road. The rout will allow you to whiz by sacred mountains, canyons, forests, and desert vistas. The travelers can stop off to peruse the wares of talented local artisans or to ogle ancient cliff dwellings and prehistoric drawings.

In California, the travelers can take the Pacific Coast Highway, also called, Route 1 that stretches almost entirely along the state's fabled coastline from Monterey to Morro Bay.  The route that stretches over 123-miles of diverse terrains, that twists alongside the crashing waves, towering redwoods, and barking sea lions of the rugged, sea-sculpted central California, reveals the breathtaking natural beauty of Big Sur.

Next in your itinerary could be the San Juan Skyway Roll that runs through the Rockies via southwest Colorado's 233-mile San Juan Skyway loop, passing through two alpine national forests; four mountain passes; and a handful of charming Old West mining and railroad towns.

Florida Keys Overseas Highway is ideal for those tourists, who love water bodies. This 127-mile highway spans more than 40 bridges, traversing Florida Bay, the Atlantic Ocean, and the Gulf of Mexico, as it hops from isle to isle en route to quirky Key West from mainland Florida. You can take part in an array of actives, as you proceed through the route. These may include snorkeling, diving, fishing, and wildlife-viewing excursions, and waterfront dining at the resorts and the Keys' charming fishing villages.

North Shore Drive stretches from Duluth to Grand Portage, Minnesota. The 154-mile North Shore Drive paves a scenic path through rugged Minnesotan wilderness, bordering boreal forests, the jagged Sawtooth Mountains, and a sweeping Lake Superior shoreline.

Near to New York City, there is Cayuga Lake Scenic Byway, which is just four hours northwest of the Big Apple (News - Alert). The 87-mile Cayuga Lake Scenic Byway circles the Cayuga lakeshore, and provides haven for some of the region's finest wineries and historical Women's Rights movement sites such as the National Women's Hall of Fame in Seneca Falls.

Those who love to explore the flora and fauna in their natural habitat can hit the Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina and Virginia. The 469 miles highway, running through Appalachian highlands, connects two national parks--Shenandoah in Virginia with the Great Smoky Mountains in North Carolina.

The 105-mile Mt. Hood Scenic Byway follows a half-loop around one of Oregon's iconic landmarks: the Cascades Range's glacier-coated, 11,245-foot-high Mount Hood. Travelers can expect to cruise through the farmlands, vineyards, and orchards, temperate rain forests and alpine timberline, gushing waterfalls and rivers and parts of the historic Oregon Trail.

Lastly, there is the 70-mile Peter Norbeck Scenic Byway that winds through South Dakota's storied Black Hills, weaving together towering granite formations, narrow tunnels, spiral bridges, and hairpin curves, with blockbuster sights like iconic Mount Rushmore and the nearby, yet-to-be-completed Crazy Horse Memorial.

Few months back, Yahoo Inc  announced it has extended the Facebook  integration launched at f8 in September, the news activity feature, to 26 additional Yahoo sites worldwide, including U.S.-based entertainment experiences omg!, Yahoo TV, Yahoo Movies, and Yahoo Games.
