ECtel, a company that provides integrated revenue management (IRM) solutions for communications service providers, has reportedly announced that Mobile TeleSystems, MTS (News - Alert), a known mobile phone operator in Russia and the CIS region, has successfully deployed its FraudView platform for its operations in Ukraine. FraudView is the first application of ECtel's Integrated Revenue Management(TM) solution that MTS-Ukraine has implemented. 

 

In cooperation with ECI Telecom (News - Alert), a provider of networking infrastructure equipment and supplier of SDH, DWDM and NGN solutions, and ECtel's long-term regional channel partner in this region, the company managed to get this tender, under which Mobile TeleSystems (News - Alert) will use FraudView at MTS Ukraine to detect, and ultimately prevent, different types of fraud and patterns of unusual behavior, in order to defend itself against losses, while ECtel's IRM will help it significantly reduce the frequency and scope of revenue leakages.

 

FraudView is a comprehensive fraud management solution for telecom operators, that provides real-time detection and prevention of fraud losses across all business lines and services. The product supports 3G and VoIP networks and has an extensive installed base for wireline and wireless operators being deployed at over 75 operators worldwide.

 

ECtel's IRM enables the operators to practice proactive revenue management by offering them a generalized view of their revenues and costs, including market leading solutions for roaming assurance, credit and risk management, service assurance and business intelligence, while its modular architecture allows them to implement any part of the suite while gradually migrating to the full solution.

 

Andrey Dubovskov, general manager of MTS-Ukraine said that ECtel's IRM and FraudView platforms provide the company with the tools it needs to maximize its revenue potential while giving it the most flexible solution available to support all of its evolving revenue management needs.

 

Apart from it, ECtel's solutions allow MTS-Ukraine to gain a competitive edge over other telecom operators by reducing revenue leakages and fraud threats, added Dubovskov.
