Ascade has reportedly partnered with Italian Information Technology company Elsag Datamat (News - Alert) to deploy its Mobile Cockpit Solution at 3 Italia, the Mobile Media Company controlled by the Hutchison Whampoa Group.
According to Ascade, Carrier Cockpit is the most advanced, mature and widely used software suite for managing the wholesale business across the world. The company points out that customized for Mobile Operators, their Mobile Cockpit Solution automates and optimizes the international voice traffic management including the analysis of the supplier Carrier offers, optimal routing selection and implementation of the routing choices in the network.
Both Ascade and Elsag Datamat have begun the implementation of the Mobile Cockpit Solution. Ascade believes that the combination of Elsag Datamat Consultancy and Integration expertise in Italy combined with the strength of the Mobile Cockpit Solution serves as an ideal platform for a successful project.
Ascade CEO Henrik Anderberg stated that Advanced Mobile Operators like 3 Italia are strengthening their Interconnect Business from a process and system point of view, and Ascade's Mobile Cockpit Solution is uniquely positioned to support these Mobile Operators. Their company see an increased interest from the Mobile Operators to secure quality and revenues from Interconnect.
Earlier this year, Qatar Telecom (Qtel (News - Alert)), the Qatar based highly international carrier, has awarded a contract to Ascade for the full suite of Carrier Cockpit. Qatar Telecom, the telecommunications service provider for both fixed and mobile telecommunications services in the state of Qatar found Carrier Cockpit to provide the best support for its future growth; both within Qatar and through its international affiliates.
