AGNITY, a global technology and consulting services company that specializes in communications and enterprise applications, has launched its new ACONYX service-oriented communication architecture (SOCA).
This is a software components framework for the design, development and deployment of communication services into business processes, It is designed to be a flexible SOCA environment for rapid application creation across multiple application servers. It enables seamless integration with Web 2.0 services and Web “mashups” applications.
The new architecture will help service providers and enterprises bridge common service enablers to a service-oriented architecture (SOA) environment over any network infrastructure delivering information technology (IT)/telecom convergence capabilities.
SOA is a method for systems development and integration that enables disparate applications to exchange data within business processes. SOA separates functions into core components that are delivered over a network where they can be reused efficiently.
ACONYX in particular includes components for communication services such as multimedia server control, messaging, conferencing, fixed mobile convergence (FMC), network-based automatic call distribution (ACD) and SMS. These services are delivered using platforms that support IP Multimedia Subsystem (News - Alert) (IMS), VoIP and SS7 networks, and common service enablers such as location, presence and messaging.
“Most applications implementations treat communication services as discrete vertical components,” said AGNITY CEO Sanjeev Chawla, in a statement. “However, communication services have become a critical part of business requiring integration horizontally across all other applications. ACONYX delivers a standard set of application components that can be simply and rapidly integrated into all business and consumer services. This is the promise of SOCA.”
The company is offering a suite of communication applications that supports the ACONYX framework, including Mobile, Prepaid and Next-Gen IN modules. It also offers custom application development and solutions design for consumer and enterprise applications helping partners and customers focus on their core business.
