Redwood City, California based Amobee Media Systems, a provider of advertising solutions for mobile operators, has announced that its Handset Application Programming Interface (HAPI) now supports Apple iPhone (News - Alert) and Google Android operating system. HAPI is already compatible with BREW, J2ME, Blackberry and Symbian.
Following the release, operators will be able use the same ad-serving solution to serve advertising impressions into applications running on Apple iPhone and Google (News - Alert) Android operating system. Advertisements, whether textual, graphical or video, can be delivered to all mobile content and communication types, including WAP, mobile video and mobile messaging.
With Amobee's HAPI Software Development Kit (SDK), mobile operators are able to easily ad-fund their mobile applications. The Interface supports both online and offline modes and has offers functionalities of click to call, click to SMS and click to browse.
In the words of Zohar Levkovitz, CEO of Amobee Media Systems, "The Apple (News - Alert) iPhone and the Google G1 Phone have proven that consumers are hungry for new mobile services, but these devices have not changed the fact that users must be charged in order for application developers and content providers to generate revenues," said Levkovitz.
