Genius Inside Intros SaaS, Mobile PM Software Versions for BlackBerry Users
Genius Inside, the creator of Genius Project Portfolio Management software, reportedly announced several products for its Genius Project and Genius Project4Domino.
Officials at the company said that Genius Project Version 2.0 and Genius Project4Domino Version 6.0 include a number of enhancements, such an invoicing module that speeds calculation and creation of invoices.
Also, the new versions include portfolio tools that let managers build and analyze their project portfolios according to up to four hierarchical levels.
The company also announced new IBM (News - Alert) Lotus Domino timesheet reporting add-on for Research in Motion Blackberry users.
“The new Blackberry module makes daily reporting of timesheets and expenses easier,” Genius Inside (News - Alert) said.
With the new Blackberry reporting add-on, consultants, field workers and travelers can enter hours, expenses and other expenditures directly into the PPM (News - Alert) suite from their Blackberry devices.
Also, company unveiled Spanish language versions of Genius Project and Genius Project4Domino. In the two PPM products, the new features include the new invoicing module and improved portfolio tools. With an invoicing module, company officials said, users can automatically generate periodic invoices based on contract parameters such as hours worked, materials used, licensing fees, expenses and more.
In the Project Tracking module, Genius Project V2.0 and Project4Domino V6.0 now support technical follow-up. With this capability, users can monitor both the base progress and technical progress of a given project, officials said.
Officials said that Genius Project V2.0 and Genius Project4Domino V6.0 feature an updated interface with improved graphics and navigation. Plus, several modules have been expanded.
Genius Planner module, officials said, offers a new look and feel and also the ability to import and export XML data to Microsoft (News - Alert) Project. Also, the Genius Planner now expands the constraint management capability to include planning timelags.
The company also offers expanded project portfolio capability, enabling managers to track and analyze investments in a project according to their choice of hierarchies. Officials said that hierarchies can be set by division, business unit, program and project, for example, with controls available at each level of responsibility.
