With Valentines Day just around the corner, what better a time to talk about relationships and the importance of communications in developing stronger relationships than right now?
This Valentine's day, as mobile devices and texting messaging have increased in popularity, more and more people will be passing along their Valentines Day greetings via this communications channel.
Based on a recent survey commissioned by SpinVox (News - Alert) and Kelton Research, Americans are using their cell phones as an important element in the courtship phase and for strengthening relationships by keeping communications lines moving.
While a text message is certainly a less costly way to express your feelings on this holiday, replacing flowers and candy requires the right communications be sent.
Speech technology company SpinVox, provides voice to text messaging services convert spoken messages into text and deliver it via email or SMS.
Based on the survey's findings both male and female cell phone behaviors were consistent when it came to mobile communications with their loved ones.
The survey uncovered that 19 percent of respondents wanted to see improvements in how fast their special someone returned their calls, and 15 percent said their honey didn’t call them enough when they were apart, while 17 percent said their significant other called too many times while they were apart. Also, 22 percent said they wished to see improvement in communications etiquette because their significant others weren’t picking up the phone when her or she knew they were calling.
Worst of all, the survey found, parents, when it came to romance and cell phone etiquette, were almost two times worse than the average American.
This Valentine's Day, SpinVox is helping couples get it right and capture the heart of their significant other using their voicemail to text solution.
SpinVox suggests lovers create a Valentines Day poem by either searching the Web for some help, or even coming up with their own. These messages can be delivered to their significant other via text of SMS so they can listen it to over and over again.
"Cell phones can do so much to bring people together, so it's good to see most people overall are staying away from cell phone no-no's to stay in touch with their loved ones," said Christina Domecq (News - Alert), CEO and co founder at SpinVox. "With SpinVox every spoken message you leave on your sweetheart's cell phone can turn into a written poem he or she can save and treasure forever."
