Domino’s Pizza has selected Air2Web as the sole mobile services provider for its new mobile coupon campaign management platform. This platform will serve the franchises of Domino’s Pizza across the United States.
Ordering a pizza over the mobile is on the rise as SMS proves to be an inexpensive and easy way to interact with service providers. Companies are trying to take this trend further by introducing mobile coupons in an effort to attract more customers. With the help of the DirectTEXT/Info Center platform, Air2Web (News - Alert) has developed a customized promotional program for Domino’s.
DirectTEXT/Info Center platform is the Air2Web's gateway application into the carriers.
Customers who have opted to receive the coupons will now receive them via text message. With the help of these coupons, they can place orders online in English and Spanish by visiting www.dominos.com or from a Web-enabled cell phone by visiting mobile.dominos.com.
Domino’s claims that there has been a steady increase in the number of customers who have chosen to opt-in and with this partnership with Air2Web, the company expects this number to increase.
“Mobile coupons provide Domino’s Pizza with the ability to target prospective consumers who are most likely to respond to an offer,” said Curtis Rapp, vice president of sales and marketing for Air2Web. “Mobile coupon campaigns have been shown to drive retail traffic and increase sales.”
Air2Web quotes a new report from Jupiter Research which states that 30 percent of consumers would like to receive mobile coupons. This is mainly because redemption rates for mobile coupons are much higher than typical print coupon rates, states the report. Mobile coupons provide many advantages such as real-time offers, geographic targeting, personalization, time-of-day redemption tracking, and a lower cost of delivery.
Recently, the company launched AirCARE, which improves customer service and support by making use of the immediacy and interactivity of SMS. Apart from services such as authorizing bill payment or re-setting a password, AirCARE can be used for simple interactions such as alerts, order status, payment reminders, account information, transactions and delivery notifications.
