AnyDATA Launches Personal Care Device with Mobile Tracking Apps

AnyDATA Corporation, a designer and manufacturer of wireless communications devices, reportedly has released new personal care device, the so-called “APT (News - Alert)-210,” along with a mobile tracking application, as part of its complete LBS solution.

 
The new, medallion-sized APT-210 (pictured below) is designed to serve service providers need to offer a premium safety and security service. It can track the individual whether indoors or outdoors and includes an alert button that immediately notifies a monitoring service provider and the caretaker.
 
Users can wear the tiny APT-210 around their neck or keep it in their pocket, or even hide in a car like other valuable assets. The LBS tracking solution provides personal freedom and safety for elderly adults, children, or pets who may tend to stray.
 
“Our broad experience in developing mobile communications products helps us bring to market a complete personal care solution that includes an intuitive mobile tracking application,” said Soon B (News - Alert). Shin, chief executive officer of AnyDATA. “We are proud to provide the AnyDATA total solution as a business enabler for carriers and distribution partners who can offer a premium LBS service to their end-users.”
 
The new APT-210 device, already certified by a national U.S. carrier, charges in less than two hours and returns a 3- to 10-day battery life depending on the frequency of locating the device. A configurable soft button is also present on the device allowing for multiple uses including panic or SOS (News - Alert).
 
Officials at AnyDATA say that, their family of tracking devices includes the AGT models that are optimized for asset, container, and vehicle tracking. All the devices operate on the dual 800 and 1900 Mhz CDMA networks.
 
The AnyDATA LBS solution can be downloaded on windows smartphone and iPhone (News - Alert) applications. On both the desktop and mobile screens, users view a map with the current location of the APT-210 device and are provided with real-time status alerts like speeding or exiting a geofence.
 
AnyDATA has even won the CTIA (News - Alert) E-Tech award for its tracking devices in 2007. Company plans to showcase its complete LBS solution as well as its modems and smartphones upcoming CTIA conference in Las Vegas.
