London-based
Cellcrypt has
officially launched Cellcrypt (News - Alert) Mobile for BlackBerry smartphones.
The solution, which was
previously announced on TMCnet, provides end-to-end real-time encryption for the security of private conversations, without requiring specialized equipment or new infrastructure.
"Business users routinely protect their valuable documents and data using encryption technologies," said Simon Bransfield-Garth (News - Alert), CEO of Cellcrypt. "But they have not previously been able to place that same level of protection on their mobile voice calls. Now, with Cellcrypt Mobile they can."
"More and more enterprises are following the lead of Government agencies in seeking ways to securely protect voice calls," continued Simon Bransfield-Garth. "Enterprises in particular understand that certain mobile voice conversations are susceptible to interception, especially if those calls contain high-value information or take place in high-risk regions."
Powered by the latest Internet technology, Cellcrypt offers unmatched voice call quality, international calling capability, high reliability across wireless networks and real-time encryption to levels specified by the U.S. government.
Operating on all key wireless networks including 2G (GSM/GPRS/EDGE), 3G (HSPA, CDMA/EV-DO) and Wi-Fi networks, Cellcrypt is trying to obtain certification for the FIPS 140-2 standard approved by the US National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).
Cellcrypt operates with an intuitive interface on BlackBerry (News - Alert) smartphones. This way, Cellcrypt users not only enjoy the various features of BlackBerry smartphone but also the end-to-end security of their mobile voice calls. TMCnet recently
reported that the company has opened a U.S. office in Palo Alto (News - Alert), California, to meet growing demand for encrypted voice solutions from North American customers.
Cellcrypt Ltd has a proven track record in providing robust privacy and voice encryption solutions to enterprises and governments. Cellcrypt's software solutions secure voice calls from cell phones and PBXs, using DH 2048 bit and AES 256 bit encryption. They support GPRS, EDGE, 3G, EV-DO and Wi-Fi.
