Fixed Mobile Convergence

Media5 Corporation (News - Alert), a developer of advanced MMoIP technologies and services, has just launched its Media5Boss-Mobility, a powerful all-in-one solution for secure Fixed-Mobile Convergence (News - Alert).

The Media5Boss (Branch Office Secure Survivable) is an advanced all-in-one suite of solutions which is designed for security and survivability in multi-site, branch office environments. It combines the technologies of the MC Client, available on a wide range of dual mode handsets, the Comdasys (News - Alert) FMC Controller, and the Mediatrix T1/E1 or FXS gateways.

The newly launched Media5Boss-Mobility offers seamless mobile collaboration, allowing users the convenience to roam freely between Wi-Fi and cellular networks. The solution allows enterprises to reduce its communication costs and increase worker productivity by using Wi-Fi networks.

Designed for Enterprises, Internet Telephony (News - Alert) Service Providers (ITSP), Mobile Virtual Network Operators (MVNO), and Cable Operators, the newly launched Media5Boss Mobility is said to offer several benefits where users can have just one mobile phone, integrated voicemail, an integrated contact list and unified communication as a all-in-one solution. This is much more cost-effective, since 40 percent of mobile voice calls are made in an area where Wi-Fi is accessible.

“Today, we all deal with a multitude of points of contact – home, office, and cellular phones, as well as multiple voicemails, said Marc Skinner, PLM director for Media5.

“The Media5Boss-Mobility can eliminate the complexities of multiple devices and implementations, and provide a key building block for secure mobile enterprise networks, in one advanced, feature-laden solution.”
