U4EA Technologies has partnered with Stoke, Inc. to create an integrated 'Seamless Enterprise Mobility' solution. The solution will enable converged services operators to satisfy corporate demand for secure, seamless multi-network access services.

Seamless enterprise mobility provides a secure and persistent connection to the corporate VPN across any access medium. It is also becoming an important enterprise productivity goal since productivity loss occurs when mobile employees switch between networks, whether wired or wireless, public or private.

The combined Stoke (News - Alert)-U4EA solution will provide mobile and fixed network operators with the ability to provide a unified service offering across multiple access networks. According to Jim Greenway (News - Alert), vice president of marketing at U4EA Technologies, the solution will remove capital and operational expense from the operator's radio network, backhaul, and data service network elements. U4EA (News - Alert) Technologies supplies multi-service business gateways (MSBG) that enable service providers and resellers to provide integrated, single device IP unified communications solutions to SMB, SME and small office customers.

The new solution combines the features of U4EA's Fusion series MSBG with the security and mobility anchor features of the Stoke Session Exchange 3000 (SSX-3000) gateway. It will enable service providers to provide improved mobility through any wired or wireless IP access technology to businesses. In addition to securely extending the reach of the corporate VPN through multiple access network types the solution will enable the operator to apply different classes of service while optimizing network resources through better traffic control. The solution does not require any modification to the existing network infrastructure.

The U4EA Fusion Series MSBGs combine multiple functions like router, switch, firewall/NAT, IPSec/VPN, session controller, bandwidth manager, VoIP gateway, QoS and management into one device for the secure, reliable delivery of unified voice, data and video communications. The Fusion MSBG when combined with U4EA's Wireless LAN Controller provides a comprehensive fixed mobile convergence (FMC) solution.

The energy-efficient SSX-3000 from stoke provides secure VPN connectivity to mobile users and secure VPN LAN-to-LAN connectivity to the subscriber enterprise. It also links mobile users to their corporate VPNs across any access medium. According to Barry Hill, vice president of sales and marketing at Stoke, the joint solution will save subscribers from the repetitive manual connection and re-connection that is required when moving between network domains.
