DeviceAnywhere is reportedly working with Verizon Wireless to enhance the support available in the recently launched Verizon (News - Alert) Developer Community. With the help of VDC, mobile developers can learn about all of Verizon's applications and programs, Verizon said.
The partnership between DeviceAnywhere and Verizon will produce the launch the Verizon Virtual Developer Lab. This is a remote testing service that helps the developers to develop, test, monitor and deploy applications and content for Verizon Wireless handsets by reducing the time and resources required to do so. Developers can also have instant remote access to more than 150 of Verizon Wireless' commercially available handsets, the company said.
Recently, Verizon announced that more than 1,000 developers have registered to join its fledgling Verizon Developer Community. The company also noted that hundreds of developers continue to sign up each week. The carrier adds that it recently added a new click-through agreement to its developer portal so coders can more efficiently submit their application concepts.

Verizon Wireless' developer community can access the full array of device features and functions by using DeviceAnywhere's unique Direct-To-Device technology. This includes hardware controls, touch screens, and the actual LCD display, pixel-by-pixel - all conveniently accessible over the Internet.
Recently, the company announced that GPS-enabled handsets within DeviceAnywhere Test Center, which provides around-the-clock access to over 45 GPS-enabled handsets upon launch, including the Palm Pre,BlackBerry (News - Alert) Storm and iPhone 3GS. The company has also inked a co-marketing deal with NAVTEQ, a global provider of digital map, traffic and location data for in-vehicle, portable, wireless and enterprise solutions, to support the development of the next generation of location-enabled solutions.
