Learning online is convenient for students and teachers. While students can learn lessons at their own time, teachers do not need to physically present to deliver their lectures. Saba recently extended its mobile capabilities to make online learning more attractive to its users.
Saba helps companies manage their employees by providing learning solutions. Companies can ensure that people have the right skills and knowledge to deliver business results by taking a strategic, disciplined, enterprise-wide approach to aligning, managing, and measuring learning and development initiatives.
The Saba Centra iPhone application includes iPhone (News - Alert) access for Saba Centra suite of online learning and Web conferencing solutions. According to the company, this enhanced mobile capability will help executives and other company employees in need of sharing knowledge or learn new things. The Saba Centra iPhone application is designed to give full advantages of a computer even when the users are away from it.
“Saba continues to seek ways for organizations to take advantage of information that helps achieve business goals and improves results,” said Andrew Salzman, chief marketing officer, at Saba, in a statement. “The addition of iPhone capabilities for Saba Centra will enrich Saba’s suite of mobile applications and build on our promise of connecting any employee, anywhere and anytime.”
With the new Saba application, users can quickly join into Saba Centra online conferences and virtual training events from any location. Users can also view any content that is being shared. To zoom into the details or expand out to see the full screen, they can also use the iPhone’s pinch and expand feature.
Recently, the company announced a major breakthrough in its next release of the Saba platform. Saba 5.5 is designed to help organizations actively manage change by unifying, engaging, and mobilizing their people assets and will represent the most complete people management platform to date. With an updated, engaging, and easy-to-use Web 2.0 user interface, Saba is visually unifying information so that the view of the employee information is the same.
