Bluestreak Technology and Cellfish (News - Alert) Media have announced new, personalized 'Evolving Avatars.' 
 

Evolving avatars can be download from iTunes, the Ovi Store, the Android Market or the Cellfish (News - Alert) Media Storefront named KKO Club. Launched in France, the service has made it to the Top 100 most popular devices of the local wireless operators.

 

Among the evolving avatars are dynamic battery status indicators that depict Pilou the Hamster racing on his favorite wheel and Surimi the Fish swimming on the phone’s idle screen. Each animated character becomes less active and more distressed as battery power diminishes. Consumers who download the applications can quickly glance at their phone’s idle screen to determine, by the character’s activity level, if their battery needs to be recharged.
