Organizations will now have centralized control of Apple iPhone and iPad, BlackBerry, Google Android, Nokia Symbian (News - Alert) and Windows Mobile devices; BlackBerry Enterprise Server, Microsoft ActiveSync and Good Technology mobile connectivity platforms; and a wide variety of enterprise mobile applications. BoxTone (News - Alert) announced the arrival of the first automated software solution for proactive Mobile Service Management, or "MSM," enabling enterprises, government agencies and Managed Service Providers, or "MSPs," to maintain continuous optimal mobile performance at the lowest cost and risk.

BoxTone Delivers Industry's First Proactive MSM Solution Powered by patented SmartMP technology with embedded IT Service Management, or "ITSM," best practices, BoxTone's MSM solution delivers a single unified mobile management console and automated software modules to address the entire mobile lifecycle.

Alan Snyder, CEO of BoxTone said, "Mobility has become the biggest business-impacting technology wave since the Internet as companies seek to increase speed to revenue, tap new revenue streams, increase employee productivity and enhance customer engagement. But the explosion of different mobile devices, including employee-liable models, new platforms and diverse applications has dramatically increased complexity for enterprise IT. With the announcement of our Mobile Service Management solution, BoxTone delivers the most comprehensive vision and solution for mobility management."

As part of its MSM solution, BoxTone is also announcing an Early Access Program for additional enterprise-connected mobile applications and services including Google (News - Alert) Apps for Mobile, Lotus Notes Traveler, Zimbra and Good Technology. The company will also be hosting a Webinar on June 23 at 11:00 a.m. EDT to introduce this new solution to the market.

Moving far beyond point-product Mobile Device Management (MDM) tools -- which are limited to the initial activation, provisioning, configuration and change tasks for a device -- BoxTone's unique MSM solution spans all the critical aspects of enterprise mobility management, delivering a central point of control with critical MDM, Mobile User Management (MUM) and Mobile Application Performance Management (MAPM) capabilities. When it's time to connect a smartphone to the enterprise BoxTone takes over, managing and supporting the end-to-end mobile lifecycle while continuously maintaining optimal mobile performance without the need for additional support staff or deep mobility expertise.

Too add, Alan Snyder said "With the latest announcements of next generation capabilities for BlackBerry (News - Alert), iPhone and Android, the flood of new devices coming to market and the employee-liable trend in the enterprise, it is imperative that companies act now to perfect mobile management,. What's more, our latest survey of more than 375 enterprise mobile IT professionals shows that 71 percent of enterprises plan to grow their mobile deployments by more than 20 percent this year, with more than 50 percent adding employee-liable devices and adding applications beyond email. In the face of this multi-vector growth and complexity, we're dedicated to helping organizations achieve a trouble-free mobile environment so they can ensure maximum gain from mobility.

BoxTone software is used by one in three Fortune 100 companies, one in four of the largest U.S. federal agencies and one in five of the Am Law 100 to automate the management of mobile users. In total, more than 230 organizations and MSPs worldwide, representing over 500,000 mobile users depend on BoxTone software.

Mobile IT operations, mobile IT support and mobile business management use BoxTone's automated management modules daily for: Incident Management, Performance Management, Service Desk Management, User Self-Service, Asset Management, Expense Management and Compliance Management. All software is powered by the BoxTone Core, a hardened, scalable platform built from the ground-up with patented SmartMP technology to auto-discover and then continuously watch, analyze and control all aspects of a mobile environment and the mobile end-user experience. The platform has proven best suited to quickly manage, monitor and support new mobile devices, platforms and applications as they connect.

To support enterprise-wide ITSM initiatives, BoxTone software also integrates with numerous third-party business service management and systems management platforms such as HP Operations Management, Microsoft's System Center Operations Manager and numerous others.
