The Juniper Research (News - Alert) Mobile Payments Gold Award 2010 has been won by mBlox, the world’s largest mobile transaction network, for Mobile Commerce. mBlox has been recognized by Juniper Research for making an outstanding contribution to the future of the Mobile Payments market.

Only the companies that have made a significant contribution to their sector and are poised to make considerable market impact in the future are given the Future Mobile Awards. A panel of expert judges granted the awards, based on a number of criteria, including: product range and innovation; geographic market penetration; evidence of commercial campaigns; partnerships and potential future business development.

From a short list of nominations for each category, the Gold and Silver winners were selected. However, mBlox (News - Alert) received the Gold Award in the Mobile Payments Category.

In related news, mBlox, the world's largest mobile transaction network, has won the 2010 Mobile Messaging Award for Best Messaging Infrastructure or Platform for its joint entry with Shorthand Mobile. It has also won another joint award for Effective Use of Mobile Ticketing with Arriva.
