Verizon Leverages MobileMax Platform To Provide Global FMC Offering

By Raja Singh Chaudhary, TMCnet Contributor

MobileMax (News - Alert) Inc., a company that provides Mobile VoIP and FMC applications to the telecommunications industry, has announcedthat its MobileMax Enterprise edition platform has been selected by Verizon Business (News - Alert) to help it in offering its new Verizon Global Fixed Mobile Convergence solution to its enterprise customers.

Developing and licensing patent-pending Mobile VoIP & PBX (News - Alert) solutions to carriers and service providers, MobileMax offers client applications that stay within the mobile devices of the users, and extend real-time communication functionality to mobile handsets.

Using one device with one number, one address book and one voice mailbox, makes it possible for users to leverage the lowest cost network for connectivity.

In addition, by leveraging advanced handset software from MobileMax, Verizon FMC will be able to determine cost-effective routing for mobile calls, and will further dynamically direct mobile calls to either the user's mobile network service or Verizon's cloud-based global VoIP communications platform - which is powered by Broadsoft.

According to company officials, global FMC offered by Verizon provides a universal phone number that helps workers in securely and seamlessly leveraging the features of their PBX on their mobile handsets as well as helps them to cost-effectively take advantage of the same "office-based" capabilities even when they are roaming.

During the initial phase, Verizon Business is providing its service to its customers in nine European countries including, Belgium, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom.

In addition, the new service is being offered for employees with headquarters located in the U.S. and Asia Pacific.

Anthony Recine, vice president of Network & Communications Solutions, Verizon Business said, working with MobileMax, the company is offering a significant value proposition to its global customers.
