The Professional Association for Customer Engagement (PACE) Convention and Expo is known for helping attendees learn how to keep customers happy and engaged with products and businesses. The conference is taking place in Tampa, FL this week. In keeping with the event’s theme, Shaping the Future of Customer Engagement – Keeping PACE with the Connected Customer, iconectiv (News - Alert), a Gold Sponsor of the show, plans to help attendees enhance their modern customer engagement and the customer experience by highlighting its latest services.

At the event, iconectiv plans to showcase its new iconectiv Right Party Verification for Messaging, which was launched today. The service is directed at mobile marketers, messaging aggregators and contact centers to help them deliver targeted communications and less unwanted spam, ultimately resulting in more happy customers and fewer fines. Due to the TCPA, companies not only need permission to send messages to a phone number, but permission to send texts to the individuals that own those numbers as well. With about 45 million U.S. mobile numbers being reassigned every year, it can become difficult for companies to keep track of who owns what number. These companies have absolutely no intention of harassing consumers, but sometimes messages accidentally slip through when companies do not know that a number has been reassigned. They can be severely fined as a result, creating an unwinnable situation. The iconectiv Right Party Verification for Messaging can help in this dilemma.

Although news of its new solution is exciting, iconectiv has even more insights to share with attendees at the event. As the next Local Number Portability Administrator (LNPA) for all seven U.S. regions, iconectiv wants to make the transition to Number Portability Administration Center (NPAC) as easy as possible by registering businesses that engage in telephone marketing and rely on number porting data through the NPAC.  Registration has started for all direct and reseller customers who use the Intermodal Ported Telephone Number Identification Service of the current NPAC, known as the Wireless Do Not Call (WDNC) service.

In addition, iconectiv is bringing some of its best to the event to speak on some of the most important telecom topics. For instance, Cliff Holsenbeck, Product Management Director, iconectiv, will provide insight into the issues that inspired the iconectiv® Right Party Verification for Messaging. He will discuss the ways organizations can engage with consumers through text messaging without violating strict mobile regulations during his session entitled “Creating a Compliant Direct Line of Customer Engagement through Text Messaging” at 3:15 p.m. today.

Meanwhile, Suresh Subramanian, Vice President, Global Industry Relations, iconectiv, will provide his insights on “The Positive Power of Regulation” as part of Compliance Officers Forum LIVE, a presentation dedicated to discussing legislative, regulatory and compliance enforcement for call centers, at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 4.

All in all, PACE is sure to be a success this year. With iconectiv in attendance, event-goers are set to learn quite a bit about the power of mobile messaging, how to stay within TCPA guidelines and, most importantly, how to keep customers engaged and happy.
