InsideSales.com (News - Alert), a cloud-based provider of sales automation and analytics for sales professionals, has just launched PowerText, adding text messaging as a communication tool to its PowerSuite sales automation and predictive dialer platform. This solution helps to free up crucial resources in any organization as well as ramp up efficiency.
PowerText is an SMS toolset easily accessible within the Salesforce CRM interface and extends tracking and reporting capabilities when a sales repesntative is contacting both current and prospective customers via texting. It automatically delivers, captures and logs an initial sent text message and its response. Sales professionals can then use the captured interactions to report on their sales progress through Salesforce and to easily use text messaging to drive sales.

Like PowerSocial, inside sales reps can also use PowerText SMS messaging as a reminder prior to a meeting for both the prospect and sales rep, a follow-up to a meeting, an alert medium for communicating a new product, or as a way to get an immediate message to a person who did not pick up on a call or may be in a meeting.
