October is considered as an active month for natural gas customers, as they prepare for colder temperatures by reconnecting their gas service or inquiring about energy assistance programs.
Recognizing this, Vectren, an Indiana-based heating company, has revealed that it will be extending its call center support hours for the entire month of October in addition to increasing efficiency via a predictive dialer that is free from hassle.
This month, customer service specialists at the company’s contact center will not only be available during regular customer service hours which run from Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., but also on Saturdays from 8 a.m. until noon.
In a statement, Brad Ellsworth, president of Vectren Energy Delivery North said, "It is important to increase our flexibility during this busy season." "As we prepare to enter the heating season, we often see higher than normal call volumes during regular business hours and are offering the seasonal Saturday hours as a benefit to our customers."
