Interactive Website GoVine Debuts to Boost Wine Tourism throughout Wine Country

In an attempt to provide the wine connoisseurs and wine investors the ultimate wine-resource, April Madden founded a first-of-its-kind integrated winery search, trip planner and social media company called GoVine.

In a press release, GoVine officials explained that the company has been created with the intention of connecting consumers and wineries. The interactive portal is going to use trusted content, local expertise and user-friendly tools to convey information to the users.

“We have designed GoVine to be both a provider of in-depth winery information and local wine region directory in Napa Valley, Sonoma and coming soon for every domestic wine region,” founder April Madden explained in a statement.

The company maintained that GoVine will make it easier for the users to take informed decision without wasting their time or money. GoVine will assist the winery visitors to book reservations at wineries, restaurants, lodging and lifestyle businesses for a complete wine country experience.

The best part of it is: this interactive website is free to join. Visitors are welcome to share their suggestions for specific itineraries. The users are allowed to see the person as well as check with their background and even reach out to them.

The visitors will get variety of information as to the geographical location, whether a winery is pet-friendly, has patios or gardens. GoVine provides wine enthusiasts and winery visitors with comprehensive information about the wine country.

With the site's user-friendly tools, consumers can research, plan and book their wine country trip. The social networking feature allows them to share their experience with friends, wineries, affiliates and other GoVine members.

Through its social network and marketing activities GoVine allows wineries and affiliates to reach out a wide variety of consumer segments encompassing wine consumers, winery visitors, bloggers and wine related businesses. GoVine also offers user-friendly marketing tools to provide customizable campaigns and in-depth consumer analysis and reporting.

In the press release, the company informed that GoVine will host a launch party on August 9, 2011 at Long Meadow Ranch and Farmstead, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., which will benefit The Napa Valley Vine Trail.

In another wine tourism-boosting move, recently Ferrari-Carano Vineyards and Winery launched new iPhone and Android (News - Alert) apps, as well as a mobile website for BlackBerry and other smartphones. The free mobile solutions let visitors learn about Ferrari-Carano’s vineyard ranches, set up a tour or private tasting, find Ferrari-Carano wines at restaurants and retail outlets nationally, browse the winery’s selection of nationally acclaimed wines, book room reservations at Vintners Inn, or book dinner reservations at John Ash & Co.
