Vaddio Announces New Web Browser Camera Control

By Oliver VanDervoort

Vaddio (News - Alert) specializes in PTZ cameras and remote camera control systems. Now, the company has released a major update to its software for the USB Camera line. The best news for people looking for the best providers in this sort of tech is that the update has a free version that allows the Vaddio ClearVIEW HD-USB PTZ users the ability to control the particular camera from any computer or mobile device.

“When we launched our EasyUSB camera systems we knew that our customers would demand a more sophisticated control approach than a traditional IR Remote Control,” explains Vaddio CEO, Rob Sheeley.

Adding, “By connecting to the camera’s Ethernet port, users can now browse to the embedded web server built into the camera and have complete control of the camera by using the preconfigured web page user control panel.”

This particular tech allows people to control those cameras through anything that have a web browser thanks to internal web pages with the camera’s operating system. This means that users do not have to have some in depth control language, but just a standard web browser in order to carry out a whole host of different orders. Among the controls that these web browser applications can carry out, users can tell their Vaddio cameras that they need to zoom in, pan, zoom out and tilt. Those using this new camera software can also change the speed of recording and playback from their browser as well as switch video sources.

The browser controls even include a kind of pre-set with as many as six different camera IP addresses. The browser controls also allow users to quickly and easily check diagnostics of any or all the cameras that they are looking to monitor. You can even change the security passwords for all the cameras you control from any web browser.
