VXi Corporation recently announced it has been included in the new Inc. 5000 List, released each year. VXi, who has been positioned in the upper half of the list, has also been ranked as the third top growing private telecommunications organization in the Boston area.
For the last six years, Inc. magazine has been making public the Inc. 500/5000 lists, which includes the top growing private companies nationwide.
The Inc. List includes the most innovative and autonomous entrepreneurs across the country as well.
In 2011, VXi reported revenue worth $22.2 million – an increase of 101 percent in the past three years. Apart from VXi, the Inc. 5000 List for this year includes Yelp, Facebook (News - Alert) and Chobani yogurt.
VXi, the manufacturer of the well-appreciated BlueParrott Bluetooth Mobile product series and the wide-ranging series of Contact Center and Office products, has been ranked 72nd in the telecommunications industry. The organization, with its 83rd position, is among the top 100 fastest growing companies in the Boston – Cambridge – Quincy metro areas.
“It is gratifying that our focused efforts to turn VXi into a rapid growth company have been sighted by Inc. magazine; our innovations in noise-canceling microphones and product reliability have helped us forge a leadership role in contact center and office equipment to the BlueParrott Bluetooth Mobile line to headset solutions including Unified Communications (News - Alert) products,” said Mike Ferguson, president and CEO at VXi Corporation. “We are honored to have been recognized by Inc. magazine.”
According to Inc., the normal growth rate among Inc. 500 and 5000 companies is 97 percent in spite of the economic slowdown. A minimum of 400,000 jobs have already been generated by these organizations in the last three years, resulting into total revenue worth $299 billion.
Said Eric Schurenberg, Editor of Inc.: “Now, more than ever, we depend on Inc. 500/5000 companies to spur innovation, provide jobs, and drive the economy forward. Growth companies, not large corporations, are where the action is.”
VXi Corporation is a major provider of advanced telecommunication and speech recognition offerings, specially designed for contact centers, offices and mobile professionals.
