Seidio (News - Alert), a premier manufacturer of premium mobile technology accessories designed for the mobile professional, recently launched the OBEX, a waterproof, shock-absorbing protective case for the Samsung (News - Alert) Galaxy S III.
The OBEX is capable of absorbing shock because of its combination of Polycarbonate and Thermoplastic Polyurethane materials that come in a two-piece structure.
Owing to its ideal design, according to company officials, OBEX successfully protects the Galaxy S III from rough, daily use and drops from extreme heights.
“The OBEX is a game-changer in smartphone protection,” David Chang, CEO at Seidio, said in a recent statement. “We carefully designed this case with the best materials available in order to ensure the [Galaxy] S III would be protected against even the harshest conditions without losing the phone’s functionality. After rigorous testing, we are confident the OBEX lives up to its name in every way.”
Seidio’s OBEX also protects the Galaxy S III from outside elements including water, snow, mud, dust, sand and more, as it seals the smartphone at critical points of entry blocking out any unwanted particles or liquids.
It meets the IP68 criterion which demonstrates it is protected against complete submersion for 30 minutes in one meter of water.
The waterproof membranes of OBEX make sure that the external matter does not enter the phone’s speakers or microphone and affects sound quality. It comes with a holster fitted with spring clip lifts for easy access with the option to securely hold the S III in place with a locking mechanism.
The adjustable swivel belt clip allows for seven rotating angles and the rubber silicone stoppers keep external elements out of the headphone, and USB ports are easy to remove when needed.
In related news, Seidio, Inc. has announced the launch of SURFACE Plus and CONVERT Plus, the newest addition to their line of mobile accessories.
