The SmartLinX U250 from AirTouch Communications connects a wireless router and landline to allow users to make landline calls with their smartphone. To enable this, the company uses PureSound technology to provide users with a clear, static-free connection.

Recently, the company announced that SmartLinX "super router" has received some new purchase orders.

Enhancing the signal quality of calls and allowing users’ smartphones to carry additional applications, SmartLinX allows smartphone users to improve the advantages of their devices by adding connectivity from smartphones to landline services.

The purchase orders have been placed by two vendors in the U.S. and one in Ecuador. They represent sales of 30,000 SmartLinX units and the whole sales proceeds are valued at approximately $2,600,000.

AirTouch expects to start shipping the products in the fourth quarter of 2012.

After downloading the AirTouch app, which is free in the App Store, users can simply connect the SmartLinX to a router and a telephone line. This allows them to make landline calls with their iPhone (News - Alert) immediately.

“We are very excited about the interest in SmartLinX and the momentum we are gaining both domestically and internationally for deployment of our SmartLinX products by both service providers and distributors," said Hide Kanakubo, AirTouch CEO. "These orders of our SmartLinX are very encouraging and we expect this upward trend to continue as we enter additional markets and expand the Air Touch brand of products, both SmartLinX and HomeConneX internationally," further stated Kanakubo.

The company was also recently selected by UniCell Ghana to offer the company 1,000 units of its X1500 wireless devices. In the African market, this order is the company’s first sale of the wireless device. Even without data, landlines or computers, the X1500 wireless connectivity solution enables home and office users to receive voice and text (SMS).
